About Us
The start
The story of Polignum began in a small village in northern Slovenia. It is a story about a young artist’s love of nature and his urge to create. What started as a personal passion quickly gained attention and grew into something much bigger.
The creator
Blaž Polovšak is the designer and creator behind Polignum. He works directly with wood, turning ideas into simple and functional objects. Each design is developed and refined by hand in the workshop.
Our approach
We believe good design should be simple, useful and easy to understand. Every shape, edge and detail has a reason to be there. We remove what is unnecessary and focus on what makes the product work and feel right.
Why solid wood
We choose solid wood because we care about nature and want to create products that are made to last. Every piece has its own grain, colour and character, making each Polignum product unique.
Designed to last
In a world full of products made to be replaced, we create pieces worth keeping. Polignum products are designed to last for years — and to be passed on to the next generation.
